  With COVID-19 infection rates in King County on the decline, 布什学派 has decided to make a change to our current policy regarding contact tracing. 周二开始, 10月11日, we will no longer conduct individual contact tracing for each positive COVID-19 case in our community.

  
  

  The school has proceeded through the pandemic with caution and this change follows the Washington State Department of 健康 (DOH) K-12 requirements, which removed the school requirement for contact tracing on Friday, August 5. In order to keep our community informed of the active cases currently at the school, starting Saturday, 10月15日, a dashboard will be posted on our COVID-19 webpage and updated on the first and fifteenth of each month.  

  
  

  Though we know we are not out of this pandemic, we are grateful that we are moving closer to SARS-CoV2 being endemic. We encourage everyone to continue to protect themselves by masking when exposed to the virus, testing repeatedly when symptomatic, and staying up-to-date on vaccines, including the COVID-19 Bivalent booster. We will be holding another COVID-19 Bivalent booster and flu vaccine clinic on Sunday, October 23 (more details to follow). Free at-home rapid antigen COVID-19 tests are available for anyone in the community to take at leisure (available in each Division Assistant’s Office, the School Wellness Office, and the Main Office).

  Masks will continue to be optional both indoors and outdoors on campus and on school-approved activities off-campus.

• Testing Protocols

  布什学派 has ended the  scheduled school-wide surveillance testing, however reserves the right to reimplement surveillance testing for school-sponsored overnight trips, during known peak infection times (i.e. for two weeks after any school breaks) or any outbreaks or evidence of increasing cases in the community.  

  
  

  Rapid antigen and individual PCR testing will still be done on any symptomatic student and will be made available to anyone in the community who requests it. Please contact 快乐 Salinas-Santos to arrange for testing if needed.

• Vaccination Policy

  For the 2022-2023 school year, we have removed the SARS-COV2 Vaccine requirement, and still encourage everyone that is eligible to obtain and stay up-to-date with their vaccinations.  We will follow the 疾病控制与预防中心的指导意见中 in regards to quarantine when exposed and isolation when infected.  

• Visitors and Volunteer Policy

  Parents/guardians who come onto campus to volunteer or to visit are required to adhere to the mask policy as outlined above.  

  
  

  Unvaccinated visitors (vendors, speakers, contractors, etc.) that are not members of the school community will still need to wear masks indoors.
